Sunless spray tanning is the spray/mist application of sunless tanning solution to your body. When applied, DHA (the active ingredient in sunless tanning solution) reacts with the proteins in the skin’s superficial layer to form a golden brown color. It’s a sunless way to achieve a natural-looking, bronzed glow without exposing your skin to harmful UV rays.

A spray tan typically lasts 7–10 days, but the longevity of your tan is largely based on how you prep your skin before your appointment and how you care for your tan afterward.
Proper preparation helps create an even, smooth base, while good aftercare helps your tan fade gradually and evenly. To make your tan last as long as possible, keep your skin hydrated and moisturized, avoid excessive exfoliation and long, hot showers, and gently pat your skin dry after bathing.

For the best results it is ideal that you take a “Everything Shower”. Exfoliate & shave the day before your tan to remove dead skin and create a smooth, even base for your spray tan.
Try to avoid soaps and body washes that contain oils (ex. Dove, Olay, and Tree Hut). Oil-based soaps can leave a residue on the skin, making it harder for the spray tan solution to fully penetrate and develop evenly.
Do not apply any lotions, or creams to your body after you take the shower or on the day of your appointment.

Its all about hydration and being moisturized.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize! Morning and night. Your skin sheds constantly. Moisturized skin sheds more slowly and evenly. Some lotions and body wash I recommend are (CeraVe, Hempz, Aveeno).
Try and avoid hot showers! I know this sounds terrible. But hot water opens your pores and strips away color. Stick to lukewarm water. Your tan will thank you.
Pat, don’t rub. You’re used to rubbing yourself dry with a towel. Not anymore! Gentle patting motions preserve your color. Aggressive rubbing creates streaks and uneven fading.
Avoid excessive sweating for 24 hours.

A rapid tan is specially formulated so you can rinse much sooner — usually within 2–4 hours, depending on the depth of color you’re wanting. It’s perfect if you’re short on time, have plans later that day, or simply don’t like sleeping in your tan!
With a regular spray tan, you’ll typically leave the solution on for 6–8 hours before rinsing. This is a great option if you have plenty of time to let your tan develop throughout the day or overnight.
Both tans continue developing after you rinse, so don’t be alarmed if your tan looks lighter immediately after your first rinse. Your final color will develop over the following hours.
